Is Medicare Supplement Plan F Going Away in Kentucky?

Medicare Supplements Work with Medicare Part D
Supplements don't and can't cover your prescriptions. This is a change from years past. By law, supplemental insurance must cover what Original Medicare covers, and nothing more. The only exception is foreign travel coverage.

Kentucky Medicare Supplements are Regulated by Law
By law, all Medicare Supplements sold in the state of Kentucky are standardized. This means that every policy must be clearly identified as Medicare Supplement Insurance and it must offer the exact coverage allowed. This allows all plans to compete on price (premium).
Each lettered plan offers the basic coverage of Plan A. Plans B through N offer different levels of gap coverage, including some with annual out-of-pocket limits. This gives people significant range of choice based on the amount of insurance needed.
Carriers are free to market the the policies they want, with these simple limitations:
- Carriers are not required to offer every plan
- Plan A is mandatory
- Plan C or F must be offered
